Terminal types
The Gulf of Iskenderun offers a range of ports and jetties serving different cargo types. Below are the general terminal categories and typical operating characteristics — contact us for berth selection, current draft and capacity details for your vessel.
Container terminals
Containers, reefers, empty equipment
The gulf hosts container facilities equipped with STS cranes and road/rail hinterland connections, called regularly by mainline and feeder services.
Dry bulk terminals
Ore, coal, scrap, grain, clinker
Berths with grab and conveyor systems offer high discharge rates, and larger bulk carriers including Capesize can be accommodated.
General & project cargo
Steel coils, billets, heavy and out-of-gauge units
Quays served by mobile cranes and heavy-lift equipment handle breakbulk and project cargo operations.
Ro-Ro facilities
Rolling cargo, trailers, machinery
Ramp-equipped berths allow Ro-Ro loading and discharge, with onward movement by road to the hinterland.
Liquid & chemical jetties
Fuels, vegetable oils, chemicals, fertiliser feedstock
Pipeline-connected jetties allow direct transfer to tank farms, subject to strict safety and clearance procedures.
Industrial plant jetties
Plant-specific raw materials and finished goods
Heavy industry plants in the gulf operate their own jetties, where calls are planned according to each facility's own acceptance rules.

Operations & Communication
Iskenderun VTS
VHF Channel 12 — active 24 hours.
Pilotage
Compulsory. Order 6 hours in advance on VHF Channel 14.
Tugs
Fleet available with 3,500–6,000 BHP capacity.
Working Hours
24/7 operations. Customs 08:00–17:00, overtime on request.
Approach & Anchorage
- Anchorage: Eastern part of the gulf, 20–35 m depth. Mud bottom, good holding.
- Prevailing winds: Northerly in winter, south-westerly in summer. Care at anchor during gales.
- Tide: Negligible (~0.3 m).
- Max vessel: Container vessels up to 300 m LOA and 15.5 m draft; Capesize bulkers accepted.
